Gwen Soriano is a fashion marketing, public relations, and communications professional with a background in multimedia journalism.
Based in Southern California, she graduated in 2023 from California State Polytechnic University Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. While in school, she studied as a newsroom writer for her campus newspaper and took a liking to the arts & culture column. In her graduating year, she placed first in the Society of Professional Journalists’ National Region 11 Awards and placed as a finalist in the Mark of Excellence Awards for her work in fashion journalism.
In her post-collegiate work, she worked in digital marketing, brand representation, public relations, and content creation for established clothing brands like Princess Polly and Express.
Her progressive interest in alternate fields of the fashion industry continued once she began attending e-commerce showrooms for Bag It Up Boutique as a retail buyer. She has also worked as a stylist/sales representative for several retail stores throughout the years.
Beyond traditional retail, Gwen launched a small business in 2021, Bundle Brat, which commercialized the concept of personal shopping and styling using secondhand clothing. She also developed a vintage resale brand, consisting of responsibilities like vending flea markets in Los Angeles and maintaining an online shop.
Currently, she continues to work in the retail industry while freelancing as a photoshoot stylist for independent projects. In her free time, she enjoys secondhand shopping, blogging, content creation, and making connections.
